In August, 2008, City Bank participated in the “Bank & Non-Bank Financial Institutions Fair-2008” and City Bank received an award for best stall decoration.

Dhaka Sheraton Hotel organized a three days long “Bank & Non- Bank Financial Institutions Fair-2008”. The fair was inaugurated by Commerce and Education Adviser, Zillur Rahman as chief guest and Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed was also present as special guest. The main motive of the fair was to bring all product and service of the banks and other financial institution under a single roof. From 7th of August to 9th of August, City Bank was there as a participant of the fair. Most of the banks of the country were also present on that fair. Among the banks, Aftab Mahmud Khurshid, Head of Brand Communication & Marketing Division received the award on the behalf City Bank from Trevor MacDonald, General Manager of Sheraton Hotel, for decorating an attractive stall. On that three days long fair, Aziz Al Kaiser, the Chairman and K Mahmood Sattar, Managing Director and CEO of City Bank visited the bank’s stall.
